1. Who we are

KemDoc is operated by Kemit Security LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA. Where data protection law uses the term, we are the controller of the personal data described here.

2. What this website collects today

The waitlist

If you submit the form, we store the email address you typed, the page you submitted it from, and the time you submitted it. That's the whole record. We don't ask for a name, and there's no profile behind it.

We use it to tell you when KemDoc is ready to try, plus the occasional note if something material changes. Every email includes a way to remove yourself, and you can ask us to delete you at any time at privacy@kemdoc.com. The list lives on our own infrastructure; we do not sell, rent, or share it.

Analytics

We use a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics tool that records page views in aggregate: which page, the referring site, and coarse device and country information. No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no profile of you.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. If that changes, the banner appears alongside an updated version of this page.

3. What the service will collect when it runs

KemDoc stores documents and records signings. The distinction that matters is between the two:

• Document contents — encrypted, and unreadable to us. Files are encrypted with keys we do not hold. What sits on our storage is ciphertext.
• Metadata and audit trail — readable to us, by necessity. That a document exists, its size, who it was sent to, and who opened or signed it, from what IP address, at what time. This is the record that makes a signature worth anything; it cannot be encrypted away from us and still function.
• Account identity — handled by KemitCustomerAuth, the shared Kemit account system, and billing by KemitBilling. KemDoc stores no passwords and holds no card details.

If you send someone a document to sign, you are the controller of their data and we process it for you. We will publish a data processing agreement before launch for customers who need one.

4. How long we keep things

• Waitlist emails — until you unsubscribe, ask for deletion, or the waitlist is retired.
• Documents — for as long as you keep them, and deleted when you delete them. Retention limits will be a plan feature, stated up front rather than discovered.
• Audit trails — kept with the document they describe. A signing record that vanishes before the document does would defeat the point.
• Aggregate analytics — retained indefinitely; it isn't tied to an identifiable person.

5. Who else touches your data

• Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of this website, DNS, and R2 object storage for encrypted documents.
• Our own servers — the waitlist, the analytics tool, and the application itself.
• An email delivery provider — to send signing invitations and the messages you've asked for.

We may disclose information where legally required. Because document contents are encrypted with keys we don't hold, what we are able to produce is account details and metadata — see the FAQ, which says the same thing in plainer terms.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to our use of your personal data. Residents of the EU/UK, California and a growing number of other places have these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone. Write to privacy@kemdoc.com.

7. Children

KemDoc is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. Tell us if you believe we have, and we'll remove it.

8. Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects people already on the waitlist — particularly anything widening what we collect — we'll email rather than quietly edit the page.
